I cant believe i actually slept at 1am and woke up at 5am just to go to the wet market... well, to get some vege and roasted pork for my pen cai... My friends had alady called me auntie... I can imagine after i got married, i will be the one going to market early in the morning and my wife still sleeping like a log... doing housework and make sure everything is in place and sparkling clean, whip up some delicious dishes for my wife, and im confident these dishes are delicious, im always confident in my cooking skills... Oh OH oh!~

Thinking of having a different way of eating reunion dinner with my family... every year having steam boat really irks me greatly... SO, i decided to cook something call pen cai (盆菜), a pot of great ingredients inside such as... Abalone, Mushroom, Dried Scallops from JAPAN, Fa Cai, Tiger Prawns, Broccoli and roasted pork which i got at 5am in the morning...
Initially, my father somehow had no confidence in me, asking if i had tried this b4, i said no and he actually HUH so loudly and say you try something that you never cooked b4 on such a special occasion? what if it turns out to be !@#$%??? Oh Com'on, Im chef Zhou OK???
Today, new year's eve, wash everything myself, cooked everything myself, anyhow mix the sauce myself... AND, Ta Da!!! My very own Pan Cai, one and only in this world... The dish was fantastic, the gravy turns out to be so powerful that if you just take a sip, you will WOW!!!
Im so proud of myself... LOL!~ Had a great dinner with my family... long time since we last sat together...

Hoping that im able to find a good job and a good gf...
Hoping that my friends and family will stay happy always...
